Text : Matthew 28:1-20 (KJV)

In our days, much more than ever, the proof of our faith is being challenged by manipulations. It seems the generation that possess deeper understanding of our faith is fading away and the present generation seems ignorant probably due to manipulations, lies and deception as seen in our text.

Secondly, as a result of pressures and unfulfilled expectations believers doubt the strength of the Christian faith, especially in the face of diverse teachings and revelations leading to more confusion and watered down faith.

This has led to believers living in fear of attacks from the enemy. Some believers even believe in the power of certain deities more than in the power in the name of Jesus.

As a result, we begin to lose confidence in the power of the resurrection of Jesus.
We are tending towards seating on the fence; one leg in and one leg out.

No matter your present circumstances, the reality remains: Jesus died and rose again. 40 days after his resurrection, Jesus went about showing himself to people despite the manipulative stories being spread (Acts 1:3). Jesus’ resurrection cannot be denied. There are infallible proofs and overwhelming evidences that Jesus rose from the dead;
1. Even before he died it had been prophesied that he would die and rise again.
2. All four gospels agree that He rose; His tomb was empty.
3. Colossians 2:15 affirms that Jesus went into hell and rendered principalities and powers useless. He took the keys from them.
4. Jesus descended, then ascended and gave gifts to men. (Ephesians 4:8-10). Only a living person can give gifts and monitor that you fulfill them.
5. The church was born on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2) when the Holy Ghost came.
6. You are born again and have overcome many things that could have taken you out.
7. You call on the name of Jesus and see results. Only the name of the living will work.

What other evidence do you need, to believe the tomb is empty?

The legitimacy of our faith is in the power that is above all powers. (Matthew 28:18, Philippians 2:9-11)

Our confidence in life is because Jesus is alive, no matter what we face physically.

Your life is so important that Jesus came to die so you could live.

Stand in the right perspective of your faith, not in arrogant pride but in confidence – “This is what I am: saved and redeemed by the blood of Jesus!”
Your faith is not standing on men’s wisdom (1 Corinthians 2:1-5), your faith is not based on what men say, but on what Jesus did – He died and resurrected. Nothing can challenge that.

As we celebrate his resurrection, remember, it is time for you to take your faith on a higher dimension.

We are not to comply with the way the world wants us to go, we are to show the world the way to go. We are to train and disciple them. (Matthew 28:19,20)
Jesus took all our sicknesses and pains to the grave so that we can no longer find them.

Your faith is superior, nothing can withstand it. (Philippians 2:9-11)

Do you have confidence in your faith?

By the death and resurrection of Jesus, you carry something powerful inside of you. By allowing intimidation and manipulation in your life, you embarrass the power of resurrection.

Your faith is legitimate, proven beyond reasonable and unreasonable doubt. Jesus is alive forever more.
